Sort through the decorative items all the shelves and surfaces in the house (excluding books.) Dust and keep the things that still make you happy or have meaning or use. Take photos of anything you want to remember but don’t want to keep. Put the other things in the appropriate box to donate, throw away, or gift to someone else.
