Meet the Team

Meet Heather and Kay, the dynamic duo behind Lighten Up Your Life. With a passion for helping people declutter and organize, they are dedicated to creating peaceful and harmonious spaces for their clients.

Heather excels at transforming chaotic environments into serene sanctuaries, finding joy in the process of sprucing up homes.

On the other hand, Kay's journey with ADHD has equipped her with exceptional organizational superpowers, enabling her to accomplish incredible feats in a single day.

Both Heather and Kay have unique downsizing stories that led them to Victoria, where they eventually crossed paths and joined forces in 2021. Together, fueled by a series of fortunate events, they decided to establish Lighten Up Your Life, a beacon of clarity and simplicity in the cluttered world of home organization

Kay & Heather live near Thetis Lake and
can frequently be spotted biking, hiking, paddling or
swimming around the shores and trails.

Heather also grew up in Ontario, eventually landing in Ottawa. In 2009, she spontaneously sold her 3-storey heritage home and most of her stuff to purchase an RV. Following her heart on a solo adventure across Canada, Heather landed on the west coast, which has been home ever since. She’s the Founder of Older, Wiser and Young(ish) at Heart and a trained coach, NLP Practitioner and Heartmath Mentor. Heather’s passionate about living simply and intentionally, both inside and out, and helping others do the same. An avid cyclist, she’s also currently working on a memoir about being a 60+ year old woman happily living life by her own rules.

  • Meet Kay: Decluttering Expert & Organizing Coach
